What's in a name?

Like two, to and too, Wisconsin has Menomonie, Menomonee and Menominee. Menomonie is a city in western Wisconsin, home to UW-Stout. Menomonee is a river in Milwaukee and the name of a Milwaukee suburb, Menomonee Falls. Menominee is the county north of Shawano County.

Rob, thanks for the clarification. These three spellings have always confused me, so it's nice to have an explanation of all three in one place for reference.

Not to be confused with the great Sesame Street song "Menomenop".

Or even "Mahnahmahnah!" from the "Muppet Show," for those of us who are old enough to remember the original. :-)

"Mahnahmahnah!"

Sorry, I had the wrong spelling and wrong Jim Henson production.
