Okay, fine, the title was a bit of a bait and switch. Nothing underwear related here.
Here is my question to the copy desk as a whole:
How difficult would it be to post briefs (I'm thinking especially local briefs here) as individual stories in Saxotech, rather than one "local briefs" story? I ask because these are often among the juiciest items of the day and often we're dissecting the briefs file and turning them into separate stories online anyhow.
Let me know if logistically you think this could happen. Then we'll proceed. Or not.

We send 2 sets of local briefs to the Web each night, Point and Wausau. Each brief file has between 3 and 4 briefs, usually. It would take us more time to break the file into 4 stories (with Web appropriate headlines), but if it helps drive people to the Web site, I think it's something we should do. Just my opinion, of course.
That's how we used to send briefs to the Web at the Marshfield News-Herald around the year 2000. Then someone asked us to file briefs as one package.
